FARMERS’ TOUR
PROBABLY TO AUSTRALIA. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, June 11. Encouraged by the success of the fourteen farmers’ tours which he has conducted within the Dominion, Mr F. Pawson, the railway business agent for Canterbury, has under consideration a proposal to organise a special farmers’ tour from Canterbury to Australia next autumn. None of the details has been worked out, but it is probable that arrangements will be made for the party to consist of 300 excursionists, the itinerary to include visits to the principal cities and important stud farms and sheep stations. Probably the tour can be arranged at an inclusive cost to each excursionist of £6O.
