DEVINE’S EMPIRE HOTEL, Main Street East, Palmerston North. The above "well-known hotel, possession of which was resumed by Mr Wm. Devine (the owner) a few weelcs ago, has undergone a complete transformation, and is now open and ready for the reception of guests. The hotel has been renovated, ajid improved in every department. In fact, the whole place has been completely overhauled from stem to stern, and is now right up to the high standard of excellence characteristic of Mr Devine’s previous proprietorship. Spirit measures have been installed in the bar and all drink 9 are reduced to sixpence while local ales i are fourpeuco.— Advt.
