BERLIN SENSATION.
ARREST OF ACO l ' TSS. The arrest, on a charge of stealing jewellery worth £SOOO, of the beautiful Countess Helga von Monroy, and the subsequent suicide of her fiance, von Wedel, have shocked Berlin society. It is alleged that the Countess stole the jewellery at Christmas from the villa of her aunt, Countess Hermersberg. Detectives, who suspected her, saw her offering the jewels for sale. Evidently fearing a police examination, her fiance shot himself with a revolver.
