CANTERBURY AERO CLUB.
OFFICIAL OPENING ON SATURDAY. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, June 8. The Canterbury Aero Club officially opened its activities this afternoon. There was an attendance of several thousands of the public at the Sockburn aerodrome. The opening ceremony was performed by Sir Francis Boys. Lady Wigram, in the absence of Sir Henry Wigram, hoisted the windcock on the club’s new hangar, signifying the official opening. Four aeroplanes flow during the afternoon, and many members of the club were given flights as passengers. *
