(From Our Own Correspondent.) OTAICI, June 6. The offertory at the ceremony of blessing tho new Catholic infant school at Levin amounted to nearly £4O, which will appreciably reduce the debt on the building, the total cost of which, with renovations and painting of tho old building, was £432. A move is on foot to raise money for the erection of an Oddfellows’ hall ill Otaki. A local resident who recently lost the sum of £l7 was moro than delighted to find the amount on her dexomtep yesterday. How it got there remains a mystery. Dr. and Mrs C. S. Williams (Dannevirke) wore among the holiday visitors to Otaki. Mrs Whitcomb, who has been visiting Otaki, lias returned to her home at Wanganui. Mr Neville Clarke, well-known in Otaki, is seriously 'ill in Wellington with pneumonia. Mr Clarke was among the visitors to Otaki on Monday. Mr and Mm A. D. Webster and son (Turoa) will leave for Sydney on tho 21st inst. Mr Webster will tako with him tho racers Moutoa Wonder, Bonhomme mid Castlo Island, and probably two others.
