IDENTITY OF HORSE.
STEWARDS DOUBTFUL.

The horse Imperial Thorpe was impounded by the stewards after tho running of the Telegraph Handicap at the Canterbury Park Trotting Club’s meeting to-day. Before the race the horse was delayed in the birdcage and examined by the stewards, but was eventually allowed to start. It is understood that the stewards are doubtful about the identity of the horse, alleging that ho does not in all respects correspond with the description of Imperial Thorpe ion the registration form.
