SENTENCES AT NAPIER,

NAPIER, June 4. The Supreme Court opened this morning. John Reginald Ellis was sentenced to two years’ hard labour for false pretences and declared an habitual criminal. William Baker was sentenced to three years’ hard labour and also declared an habitual criminal.
