LICENSE SUSPENDED.
ALSO SUBSTANTIAL FINE. Per Press Association. MASTERTON, May 27. As the outcome of a motor accident near Masterton on Saturday, William Hutchinson Gordon, a farmer, aged 42 years, appeared before the court this morning charged with being intoxicated while in charge of a motor car. He was fined £75 and his license was suspended for 12 months, the magistrate stating that the question exercising his mind was whether the accused should be sent to gaol right out. CASE AT WHANGAREI. Per Press Association. WHANGAREI, May 27. At the Magistrate’s Court to-day, William Saul pleaded guilty to being intoxicated while in charge of a motor lorry. He was fined £2O and liis license was cancelled. The accused was allowed to pay £5 per month.
