A LONG TREK.
CAPETOWN TO CAIRO. (Australian Press Association.) CAPETOWN, May 26. Mr Monson, a West Australian jourtialist, has arrived at Nairobi on a walk from Capetown to Cairo. He covered 2000 miles in eight and a halt months. Mr Wilson, an accountant, joined Mr Monson in the Northern Transvaal. Both are fit. They were charged by a number of “rogue elephants in Kenya. Mr Monson was knocked down and had two teeth broken. Strangely enough, the elephants desisted from a further attack.
