SECONDARY SCHOOLS.
ASSOCIATION’S RESULTS. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, May 15. The Technical Schools’ Association carried the following remit: That the time is ripe for reconsideration of the whole svstem of the administration of primary* and post-primary schools. Schools of different kinds should be established wherever possible to meet the various needs of pupils and of localities. All schools should be coeducational and, if the population does not justify the establishment of two types of post-primary school, a school of the technical high school *ype should be first established,, but should offer an academic course for pupils up to 18. Where post-primary schools cannot be established owing to the small number of pupils, the principle of the district high school should be extended so that pupils above standard four are included in the postprimary department and post-primary pupils should be taken to a oentral school from the surrounding schools.
