CHARGE OF STEALING.

DENIAL BY ACCUSED. •' Per Press Association. BLENHEIM, April 11. In the Magistrate’s Court to-day, Ray Hebbard and Reginald Stuart Forbes were charged with stealing five steers, the property of Bryan Greensill, a farmer of Kenepuru. The cattle allegedly were sold to a stock dealer and were subsequently traced to a Picton butcher. The defence was a complete denial of the sale of the cattle. The Magistrate remarked that the evidence was very strong, and that accused would be committed for trial. Bail was allowed each accused.
