ESCAPED NIAGARA.
DIED IN BATHTUB. Escaping death in the swirling currents of the Niagara River rapids after his rowing boat had been upset by an icefloe, John Olst was drowned in his own bathtub a week later. A defective gas-heater caused him to be partly asphyxiated, and he slipped under the water.
