PUBLIC WORKS MINISTER.
TOUR OF TARANAKI. Per Press Association. STRATFORD, April 9. Hon. E. A. Ransom, Minister of Public Works, spent yesterday inspecting work on the Stratford Main Trunk Railway and receiving deputations, chiefly concerned with roading matters, from settlers in the Whangamomona district. He returned to Stratford this morning and received a further deputation. After a visit to the Mountain House in the afternoon Mr Ransom proceeded on to Inglewood in continuation of his Taranaki tour.
