LIFE SAVING.

, SCHOOL EXAMINATION. At the Terrace End School yesterday 132 pupils were presented to Mr W. 0. Collier, examiner for the Royal Life Saving Society, for the land drills of the society. The classes showed a high state of efficiency in their work, reflecting very great credit on the members of the teaching staff. Misses Chapman and Hayman and Messrs Campbell and Morine. Mr Collier spoke briefly fo the pupils at the conclusion of the examination and expressed the hope that all of them would submit themselves- -for the water-work examination early next summer.. It will bo remembered that this school recently was successful in winning the Cunningham Shield for lifesaving;Work and the enthusiasm of both staff .and children is to be commended.
