SUNKEN SCHOONER.
FRENCH INTEREST. (United Service). LONDON, April 1. The Daily Mail’s Paris correspondent states that the French Foreign Office has instructed the French Ambassador at Washington to inquire into the circumstances attending the death of the negro Maingay, one of the crew'of the I’m Alone, and to demand compensation if the sinking of the schooner is proved to be illegal.
