SEAPORT FOR WINNIPEG.

FRUITION OF LONG DESIRE. (United Service.) Received April 2, 11.5 a.m. VANCOUVER, March 31. With the completion of the railway to Fort Churchill, on Hudson’s Bay, Winnipeg is about to realise its fifty-year-old dream—a seaport of its own. It is expected that 30,000,000 bushels of wheat will be shipped annually to Liverpool by this route during the three months in which the bay will be sufficiently free of icebergs to permit steamers to reach the Atlantic.
