LABOUR PARTY.
ANNUAL CONFERENCE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 1. The annual conference of the New Zealand Labour Party opened to-day. In the absence of the president, Rev. J. K. Archer, who will not attend until to-morrow, Mr J. Thorn, vice-pre-sident, opened the proceedings. The visiting delegates were welcomed by Mr J. Bromley, secretary of the Wellington district council of the Alliance of Labour. The conference is attended by about 100 delegates.
