FIRE AT MIRAMAR
LITTLE DAMAGE DONE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 31. An outbreak of fire occurred yesterday afternoon in the Wellington Gas Company’s building at Miramar, used for the purpose of making fire bricks. Fortunately, beyond the fact that the roof was -completely destroyed and a large area of grass was burned no damage was done to the plant. Brickmaking, however, will be suspended for about two weeks. Great volumes of dense black smoko ascending for some time led people to suspect that a disastrous fire had occurred.
