QUEER BUS
LONDON’S LATEST. • The London Omnibus Co. has devised a remarkable vehicle, fitted with elaborate gadgets, which automatically record every peculiarity of the road, says the Manchester Guardian. One instrument draws, a v Jute line on black paper, showing the speeds ot the ’bus, whenever it s'ows up or stops for traffic, and the length of time spent at the terminus. It thi.s_ indicates the locality of the worst hold-ups, and at what periods of day and night the highest and lowest speeds can- le a'--A gradient meter registers the slope of the hills; and a spirit level records the camber of the roads.
