Studdart Kennedy, who, as a result, of the war, became' popularly known as “Woodbine Willie.’ The widow and three sons have been left inadequately provided for. The late Mr Kennedy earned big sums through his writings, but practically all was immediately earmarked for charities. His only savings were hrs life insurance policy for £3OOO.
