SERIOUS INJURIES.
LEG AMPUTATED. Per Press Association. GISBORNE, March 28. Whilst A. McColl, a timber worker at Itakanroa, w.as driving a tractor hauling logs the tractor got out of control. McColl jumped, but fell from the tractor, which passed over one leg, necessitating amputation. A deep wound was also inflicted on the back of his skull.
