WAIKATO BANKRUPT

APPLICATION FOR DISCHARGE REFUSED. Per Press Association. HAMILTON, March 2. Mr Justice Blair at tho Supreme Court refused an application for the discharge from bankruptcy of William Walter Scott, builder, of Hamilton. The Official Assignee said that Scott appeared to have been £1590 in debt when lie undertook contracts worth £31,000, building a theatre at Paeroa and an hotel at Morrinsvillo. He had failed to account for his losses and had not Kept books during tho course of these contracts. Several creditors opposed granting a discharge. His Honour, in refusing a discharge, said that Scott had bitten off more than he could chew and had muddled along.
