“ANGEL’S” BOOK.

STORY OF GOLDFIELDS. Mrs Doris Booth, of Brisbane, has published a book, entitled “Mountains, Gold, and Cannibals,” describing the adventures of herself and her husband while prospecting in New Guinea. Critics praise the book’s sustained interest, one describing the authoress as the only woman, gold prospector in the world. Mr and Mrs Booth will shortly return to New Guinea from London. Mrs Booth was known on the goldfields as the “Angel of Bulolo,” earning the undying gratitude of the miners for her devotion to their welfare, whether it was nursing the sick and generally looking after the welfare of the men.
