MANAWATU TOURNAMENT. Further play took place this morning in the annual \ tournament arranged by the Manawatu Croquet Association. Results of the games up to 1 p.m. were as follow: — HANDICAP SINGLES. A Grade. Second round.—Mrs Jamieson (5) beat Mrs Richardson (64), 26—10; Mrs Turner (4)'beat Mrs McGill (5), 26 11; Miss McFarlano (5) beat Mrs Lynch (4), 26 —24. B Grade. Second round.—Mrs E. Simpson (54) beat Mrs McCarty (7), 26—11. CLUB PAIRS CHAMPIONSHIP. Second round.—Mesdames Spring and Corbridge beat Mesdames Jamieson and Davidson, 26—22. MANAWATU CHAMPIONSHIP SINGLES. First round.—Mrs Jamieson beat Mrs Sandford, 26—4. Second round. —Mrs Jennings beat Mrs T. Simpson. B CHAMPIONSHIP SINGLES. First round.—Mrs Radford beat Mrs Mitchelson, 26—14. Second round.—Mrs McCarty beat Mrs Smelling, 26—15; Mrs Wood beat Mrs Cioclietto, 26—12; Mrs Legge beat Mrs Mills, 26—9.
