CO-OPERATION OF SERVICE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 1. The Railway Department is replacing ten of the present buses on the Hutt Road with a new type. The department states that the passengers carried by its 41 buses during the past two months were 199,934 and' 217,453 respectively and it is expected that for tlie financial year the total will be 2,000,000 passengers. The co-opera-tion of rail and motor services in the Hutt Valley has effected a saving of £SOOO per annum on the train operation figures.
