FOXTON NOTES.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) 1 FOXTON, March 1. A pleasant Social function took place on the bowling green when met Mr C A Pearson and made a presentation of a set of pipes to him, prior .to his departure from Foxton. The presentation was made by the president (Mr W. S. Heye=) who referred to Mr Pearson s long membership of the club and expressed regret that he was leaving Foxton. His fel.ow members wished him every success for the future. The president’s remarks were endorsed by the Mayor (Mr M. E Perreau) who also referred to the excellent work Mrs Pearson had done in the interests of both the Bowling and Croquet Clubs. Mr F Woods also added his eulogies to these present of the previous speakers Mr Pearson suitably replied and thanked the members for their presentation and expressions of goodwill.
