EGGS AND POULTRY.
PRICES IN YVELLINGTON. (By Telegraph—Special to Standard.) WELLINGTON, March 1. The high prices have caused a slackening in the demand for eggs and the current quotations show a slight drop. First grade hen eggs. 2s 4d to 2s 6d per dozen ; seconds, 6d cheaper; duck eggs, 2s 4d to 2s od per dozen. There is a fair supply of fresh poultry at Last week’s quotations.
