300 MEN IDLE,
Per Press Association. HAMILTON, Nov. 7. The Glen Afton Collieries have bee A idle since yesterday afternoon, when all the miners, nearly 300, ceased work owing to a dispute. The question is whether dampness is sufficient to jusify “wet” pay to the truckers in accordance with their agreement. Negotiations with the management are proceeding. The mine is owned by the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Coy., Ltd.
