RECTORIAL ELECTION.

GLASGOW UNIVERSITY. (Australian Press Association). LONDON. Oct. 27

The Glasgow University Rectorial election', resulted:—Mr S. Baldwin, 1044: Mr R. B. Cunningliame Graham (Scottish Nationalist), 978; Sir Herbert Samuel (Liberal), 396; Mr Rosslyn Mitchell (Labour) 226. The women’s vote turned the scale in favour of Mr Baldwin. Sixty thousand rotten eggs, and thousands of cods’ heads and. other ammunition were expended during the election, the combatants being dressed in boiler suits and football attire. Women students polled at a booth some distance from the battleground.
