REDUCTION IN SYDNEY, BUTTER AND BACON. DOMINION COMPETITION,. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received October 30, 10.35 a.m. SYDNEY, Oct. 30. . The wholesale price of butter has been reduced Id per pound to 186 s 8d per cwt., owing to heavy arrivals from Victoria and Queensland. Bacon is cheaper owing to the large supplies, ’ including considerable quantities of the New Zoala'nd, product. In order to check competition from the Dominion some of the largest traders are reducing prices Id per pound for most cuts. Curers of standard brands are expected to follow suit in order to protect their interests.
