WAR LOAN SCANDALS.

(Australian Press Association.) BERLIN, Sept. 5. The arrest of Hugo Stinnes is believed to be the prelude to a bigger scandal. War loan stock, if bought before 1920, was worth 15 per cent, gold value. If bought later during inflation it was only worth five per cent. Investigation by the Ministry of Justice allegedly has revealed that bank's in Germany, France, Roumania and Holland are implicated in the presentation of the latter category stock as the former to the extent of £1,000,000,000.
