LINTON NOTES.
• (From Our Own Correspondent.) LINTON, Sept. 5. On Saturday cevning an enjoyable dance was held in the I,inton Hall for the young- pcoplo °f the district, those yesponsible for the arrangements being Mesdames Irvino and Currin, who provided a very dainty supper. The duties of M.C. were carred out by Mr J. L. Nash and the muse was suppled by Mrs Sharp and Mr Nash. Little Tony Beckett, who is still in hospital and underwent his fourth operation on Monday, is progressing satisfactorily. Miss Nita Batcholar has returned from a visit to Wellington. Mr and Mrs Mcßrcarty and family have returned to Linton.
Miss E. Green, who has been spending a few days with Mrs Nash, has returned to Palmerston North.
Mrs S. Coker, who has been ill, is Bow progressing satisfactorily.
