Tho owners of tire Castle Moon, bound from Blyt'h *o Adelaide, received a wireless message on September 1 stating that the cargo had been on firo in the main hatch for a week, and was spreading. The captain, however, believed that the outbreak could be controlled until the vessel arrived at Adelaide. Her position then was 1250 miles from Albany.
