PRICE OF CHEESE.
ANOTHER INCREASE
HIGHEST FOR CONSIDERABLE
TIME.
(By Telegraph.—Special to Standard.) AUCKLAND, Aug. 14.
An increase of 2s a cwt. in the price of New Zealand cheese on the Home market is reported in a cablegram from London dated August 13, quoting white cheese at 113 s to 114 s. The previous maximum quotation, contained in advices dated August 11, was 112 s. No change is reported in the price of coloured cheese, which is quoted at 110 s to Ills. The present price represents an advance of 21s per cwt. compared, with tho price ruling a year ago, and is the highest recorded since November, 1925, when there was a nominal quotation of 115 s. Between the beginning of Juno of this year and the middle of July prices rose from below 100 s to 112 s, in the vicinity of which figure they have ruled for the last few weeks.
