manawatu club. THIRD RACE FOR BOUCHER
The third race of the Boucher Cup series was conducted on Saturday by the Manawatu Amateur Athletic anu Cycling Club, the distance being M miles. J£ight competitors started: 0. *V. Prouse (Smins.), W. Redley (Tmins.), W Collins and D. Pedersen (Gunns.), G. Cooksley (smins.), G. King (4 mins.), M. Donald and E. Pedersen (2 mins.). , . At the end of the first lap Cooksley dropped out, while another lap saw Prouse and E. Pedersen retire With two laps to go Pedley was in the lead, hut- was tiring and another lap saw him drop out, leaving three to complete the last lap. Collins won with a brilliant sprint by ono length. D. Pedersen was second and Donald third, the winners time being lhr. 20mins. 41sec., this being the fastest returned by the three competitors to finish. Next Saturday the club will stage a race to Bulls and back, a distance of 3b miles.
