WELLINGTON, Aug. 1

Dnniel Darwin Doyle, aged 41, a letter sorter in the Post Ollice, pleaded guilty in Court to-day to the theft of three letters containing in all £4 os. Accused had been employed as a sorter for the past twenty years, and he attributed his lapse to a severe illness with attendant financial obligations. The Magistrate, Mr Page, said that lie would consider the case and remanded accused till Friday for sentence.
