FIRST PRIZE FOR BOYS.
A PEEP AT JACK HOBBS. LONDON, July 20. “I should reserve this as a prize for the best boys,” said the Prince of Wales as ho peeped through a circular window commanding an enticing view of tho Oval Cricket Ground. It was on the top floor of the new building of Archbishop Tenison’s Grammar School, which the Prince opened. All tho windows of tho school are ritted with obscure glass excepting tho one through which the Prince looked. The architect explained that this was done not because tho 1 Oval authoriies objected to a free view of a game, but because lie did not want tho attention of the boys distracted. Tho Prince’s request for an extension of the summer holidays was greeted with such prolonged cheering that it caused the Prince to remark: “.It sounds as if Hobbs has scored another century.”
