HON. W. NOSWORTHY
MAY AGAIN STAND FOR PARLIAMENT. (3» Telegraph.—Special to Standard). WELLINGTON, July 28. When seen this morning on his return from Ashburton Hon. W. Nosworthy said that ho would consult the Prime Minister as to whether he would stand for Ashburton at next election and would decide before leaving on Monday for Canada. Great pressure was brought to bear on him on his recent visit not to forsake Ashburton. "With regard to a telegram from Ellesmere, offering him support, which Hr David Jones in the House of Representatives last night said was never sent, Mr Jones is apparently misinformed as the sender’s name appears in the Ashburton Guardian.
