ITALIA SURVIVORS.
SULLEN RECEPTION. NORWEGIANS’ BITTER FEELINGS (Australian Press Association). STOCKHOLM, July 26. The Citta di Milano met a sullen reception at Narvik. Many watched the arrival, but there were no signs of demonstration or tribute. Norwegian feeling is bitter over the fate of Professor Malmgren and the disappearance of Captain Amundsen. This was shown when a mooring rope was thrown to tlie quay with a request to make it fast. No one offered assistance, .and a member of the crew had to jump ashore, wliilo Norwegian sailors looked on in iev silence. There was not the slightest feign of greeting, and after the gangway was lowered an armed Italian kept watch on deck, while Norwegian police kept guard ashore. In face of the crowd of silent bystanders, the Italia survivors resumed the journey to Sweden in a special coach brought alongside the Citta di Milano. All looked well except General Nobile, who appeared tired and wis limping, and Signor Ccccioni, whose leg was bandaged.
