Judgment for plaintiff by default was given in the undermentioned cases: —The Commissioner of Taxes_v. N. It. Stone £7 14s sd. costs 15s; State Advances Superintendent v. Christina Butler and George Abner Butler, £23 1.5 s lOd, costs £1 15s; J. Robson (Mr Grant) v. AY. P. Wright, £2 3s 6d. costs £1 9s Cd ; E. Diekhoff (Air Gordon) v. W. H. Davis, £2 14s 6d, costs £1 3s 6cl; same v. A. Ralston £2 14s 6d, costs £1 4s Cd; Holben and Hubbard (Mr Cooper) v. Edge and Seal, £4 6s sd, costs £1 3s Gcffi Donald-MacPherson (Mr Gordon) v. H._ Gunning (Mr Grant) the sum of £7 5s 9d, m default seven days’ imprisonment. C. W. Duncum, who likewise did not appear, was ordered to pay V. E. Harman (Air Laurenson) the sum of £4 16s 6d forthwith, in default seven days imprisonment. _______
