At the Magistrate's Court Henry Patrick aged 38, pleaded guilty to eight charges- of breaking and entering various houses early this month and committee theft.
The police said that the accused travelled round as a tinker. To gain an entrance he broke the leadlights over doors or windows and then loosened the catch. In all ho hud_ taken £IOO worth of goods and jewellery from eight houses. He was caught in the act in a Sydenham house. Accused was committed to tho Supremo Court for sentence, bail not being applied for.
