ANTI-GOD PLOT.
SOVIET ERRS AGAIN.
LONDON, April 21. The Soviet’s anti-religious campaign has met with another “regrettable incident,” states tho Riga correspondent of the Times.
The Anti-God Society, with the purpose of demonstrating tho falsity of tho belief in the miraculous preservation of relics, in which Russia abounds, exhibited in a glass case remarkably preserved relics of Saint Theodosius of Chernigov, one of the most popular of Russian saints. A placard explained that it was only a case of natural mummification, due to chemical properties of the atmosphere and the soil in which thoy originally were interred. The crowds which flocked to view the venerable relics disregarded tho placard Tho newspapers now declare that it was a mistake, to admit the public and to expect anti-religious results in tho absence of a proper agitator.
