Hampshire, 224 (Mead .50, Newman 96) and 119 for three wickets; Surrey, 459.
Sussex, 51(1 for three wickets, declared (Bowley 144, P. Parks IG2. Langridge 114, H. Parkes 66); Notts, 31 for two wickets. Lancashire, 528 for four wickets, declared. Nothramptonshire, 284 (Woolley 75. Jupp 77) and 27 for three wickets. R. Tyldeslcy • took eight wickets for 62 runs. Cambridge University, 381 ; Leicertershire, 169 and 190 for five wickets (Armstrong 57, Dawson 67). For Cambridge, Blundell (New Zealander) took six wickets for 25 runs. Aliddlesex, 339; Worcestershire, 68 and 145. Haig took six wickets for 30 runs. Aliddlesex won by an innings and 126 runs.
AYcst Indies, playing against Derbyshire. made 100 in their first innings (Challenor 75). Slater took eight wickets for 24 runs. Derbyshire’s second innings realised 177 (Jackson 63).. Browne took four wickets for 37 runs. AVcst Indies made 19 runs without loss in their second innings.
