(Australian Press Association). ' LONDON, May 7. The Daily Mail states that Mr P. Snowden, M.P., speaking at Starthwaite, declared that the Budget reduction of 2 S per hundredweight in the duty on imported sugar benefited British refiners, not the consumers. Mr Snowden declared that this plan between Mr Churchill iind the refiners had been concocted during the past few months, and preparations were made for it in order to bamboozle the public.
