RESTRICTION ON RECRUITS

Complaints that Alaori lads are not accepted for naval service owing to the regulations restricting recruits to British men by birth have been received by the Akarana Alaori Association. Two specific cases were - mentioned at a recent meeting or the association. It was decided to firite to the naval headquarters at Wellington requesting that the regulations be modified so as to allow of the entry ot Maori recruits.
