THEFT OF COAT.
ACCUSED GIVEN A CHANCE.
Per Press Association. AA’ELLINGTON, May 7. When Alary Ellen Conrad, aged 20, appeared before Air Page, S.AL, last week, charged -with the theft of a lady’s coat valued at £B, Chief-Detective Ward said that she was living with a man at Eastbourne. Tho Alagistrate remanded the case to enable the man to marry the girl in accordance with the man’s desire. To-day tlie chief-detective said that the marriage took place on Saturday. The Atagistrato convicted the girl and ordered her to come up for sentence within 12 months if called upon, tlio value of the coat to be made good within a month.
