AUSTRALIAN ELECTIONS.
ALLEGATION OF BRIBERY
Received Alay 7, 10 a.m. SYDNEY, Alay 7. Air W. Lambert, a member of the House of Representatives, declares that while Air Theodore, ALP., was looking for a safe Labour seat 18 months ago he, Air Lambert, was offered an £BOOO bribe by a former Labour supporter to abdicate the West Sydney seat to Air Theodore. But he declined, though the money was very tempting. Mr Theodore was afterwards provided with the Dailey seat, Air AV. Alahoney making way for Air Theodore. Air Lambert adds: “Now I find that the same crowd that offered me £BOOO has jockeyed me out of tlie AVcst Sydney Labour selection, and I am a beaten man.”
Mr Theodore, who was interviewed last night, declared that Air Lambert’s statements are too grotesque to warrant serious consideration.
