MILITARY SERVICE.
MEASURE IN FRANCE. LONDON, Jan. 22. The Paris correspondent of the London Times states that the Chamber of Deputies adopted November 1, 1930, as the date for the introduction of the one-year period of military service, provided that soldiers in the event of necessity, are retained with the colours for a further six months. The bill was adopted by 410 votes to 23. — Times.
