MAGISTRATE CONVINCED.
SYDNEY, Jan. 15. In a test for drunHeuiiess at the Darlinghurst Police Station, last night, Prosper Braceweli, aged 34, a traveller, was asiced by a doctor to touch ins nose with his left hand, toucli his chin with his right hand; put his heels together; stretch his hands out; and lie down on a blanket lor two or three minutes and then get up and walk straight. me result was that Braceweli, at the Central Police Court to-day, was lined £lO, and had his license suspended for three months, for having driven a car while he was under the influence of drink.
“it has always been put up to me that the police exaggerate in these cases,’’ said Mr Perry, S.M. “In this case the doctors evndence dispels all doubt.”
