SIR T. BEECH AM’S COMPLAINT

“Maybe, British musicians do not take Sir Thomas Beecham seriously enough,” said Dr Markham, who' presided at a meeting of the British Society of Musicians, “but it is painful that ho should go to America and cry stinking fish.” The meeting protested against Sir Thos. Beecham’s assertion in New York that British musicians were lazy and comatose.
